ኤክቱስ ግንቦት 28/2018 ዓ.ም

​The killings committed against innocent believers (faithful / parishioners), the displacement of people, as well as the complete destruction by fire of the Tselata Chefa St. Gabriel Church—which has stood for over a century—and the looting of the Medhane Alem (Savior of the World) Church, occurring since May 31, 2026 (Ginbot 23, 2018 E.C.) in the Tseko and Shirka districts (woredas) of the East Arsi Diocese, have plunged our Church into deep mourning (grief). The repeated occurrence of similar security problems in the area and the subjection of innocent citizens, mothers, and children to severe mistreatment (hardship / harassment) and displacement (exile) is a matter that must be corrected and has deeply concerned us all. ​Therefore, we urgently call upon (remind / urge) the government and security forces to immediately fulfill their responsibility to maintain law and order and to protect the safety of citizens. We firmly demand that those involved in the attack be brought to justice, that the necessary support and rehabilitation (resettlement) be provided to our displaced and sheltered compatriots, and that reliable protection be ensured for the churches and the believers. ​We pray that God grants comfort (solace) to all the families of the deceased and displaced believers who are going through this difficult trial. ኤክቱስ ግንቦት 26/2018 ዓ.ም ​“አቤቱ፥ ቅዱስና እውነተኛ ጌታ ሆይ፥ እስከ መቼ አትፈርድም? ደማችንንስ በምድር በሚኖሩት ላይ እስከ መቼ አትበቀለውም?” (ራእ ፮፥፲) በምሥራቅ አርሲ ሀገረ ስብከት በአሰኮ እና በሺርካ ወረዳዎች ከግንቦት 23 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ በንጹሃን ምእመናን ላይ የተፈጸመው ግድያ የሰዎች መፈናቀል እንዲሁም ከአንድ ክፍለ ዘመን በላይ ያስቆጠረው የጠላታ ጨፋ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ቤተክርስቲያን ሙሉ በሙሉ በእሳት መውደም እና የመድኃኔዓለም ቤተክርስቲያን መዘረፍ ቤተክርስቲያናችንን በጥልቅ ሐዘን ውስጥ ጥሏታል። በአካባቢው መሰል የጸጥታ ችግሮች በተደጋጋሚ መከሰታቸውና ንጹሃን ዜጎች፣ እናቶችና ሕፃናት ለከፋ እንግልትና ስደት መዳረጋቸው ሊታረም የሚገባውና ሁላችንንም በእጅጉ ያሳሰበ ጉዳይ ሆኗል። በመሆኑም መንግሥትና የጸጥታ አካላት ሕግና ሥርዓትን የማስከበር እንዲሁም የዜጎችን ደኅንነት የመጠበቅ ኃላፊነታቸውን በአስቸኳይ እንዲወጡ እናሳስባለን። በጥቃቱ ላይ እጃቸው ያለበትን አካላት ለሕግ በማቅረብ፣ ለተፈናቀሉና መጠለያ ላጡ ወገኖቻችን አስፈላጊው ድጋፍና መልሶ ማቋቋም እንዲደረግላቸው፣ እንዲሁም ለአብያተ ክርስቲያናቱ እና ለምዕመናን አስተማማኝ ጥበቃ እንዲደረግ በጽኑ እንጠይቃለን። በዚህ ከባድ ፈተና ውስጥ ለምትገኙ ለሟች ቤተሰቦችና ለተፈናቀሉ ምእመናን በሙሉ እግዚአብሔር መጽናናትን እንዲሰጣችሁ እንጸልያለን። እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ለተጎዱት መጽናናትን ይስጥ፤ ሀገራችንንና ኦርቶዶክሳዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያናችንን ይጠብቅ።                                አባ ገሪማየጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል

ኤክቱስ ግንቦት 26/2018 ዓ.ም ቅዱስነታቸው ያስተላለፉት አባታዊ የኀዘን መልእክት እንደሚከተለው ነው፦ መልእክተ ብፁዕ ወቅዱስ ፓትርያርክበስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን፡፡ ‹‹ወረሰዩ አብድንቲሆሙ ለአግብርቲከ መብልዐ ለአዕዋፈ ሰማይ፣ ወሥጋሆሙኒ ለጻድቃኒከ ለአራዊተ ገዳም፦ የአገልጋዮችህንም በድኖች ለሰማይ ወፎች መብል አደረጉ፥ የቅዱሳንህንም ሥጋ ለምድር አራዊት።››(መዝሙረ ዳዊት ፸፰፥፪) በአርሲ ሀገረ ስብከት በአሰኮ፣ በሽርካ፣ በሆንቆሎ፣ በዋቤ እና በሙኔሳ ወረዳዎች በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ልጆቻችንና በቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ ስለደረሰው አሰቃቂ ጥቃት የሰማነው በተሰበረ ልብ ነው።የእምነት ነፃነት ተደፍሮ መቶ ዓመታት ያስቆጠረው የጠላታ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን በተቃጠለበት፣ እንዲሁም የካራ ኩፍቴና መድኃኔ ዓለም ቤተ ክርስቲያን በተዘረፈበት በዚህ ክፉ ቀን፤ በርካታ ምእመናን በግፍ መሰዋታቸውና በመቶዎች የሚቆጠሩ ወገኖቻችን ከቀዬአቸው መፈናቀላቸው ቤተ ክርስቲያናችንን በእጅጉ ያሳዘነ ክስተት ነው። የሰላም፣ የፍቅርና የታሪክ ማህደር የሆነችው ቤተ ክርስቲያን በምድራዊ መከራ ውስጥ ያሉትን ምእመናን በምታጽናናበት በዚህ ወቅት ራሷ በፈተና ውስጥ ሆና ከመቸገሯም በላይ በአርሲ ምድር በተደጋጋሚ የሚስተዋለው በደልና ግፍ በሁላችንም ልቡና ውስጥ “እስከ መቼ?” የሚል የቁጭት እና የኀዘን ጥያቄን ፈጥሯል። በመሆኑም ይህ መከራ እያበቃ ሳይሆን እየሰፋ በመምጣቱ የዜጎችን ደኅንነት የመጠበቅና ሰላምን የማስፈን አደራ የተጣለባችሁ የጸጥታ አካላትና በየመዋቅሩ ያላችሁ ሓላፊዎች ከምንም በላይ ታሪክ የሚጠይቃችሁ በሥልጣን ዘመናችሁ ለዜጎች ደኅንነት በምትከፍሉት ዋጋ ነውና ይህንን የጥቃት ሰንሰለት በማስቆምና ወንጀለኞችን ለሕግ በማቅረብ ከታሪክ ባለዕዳነት ትድኑ ዘንድ በቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ስም አበክረን እናሳስባለን። በየአካባቢው የምትገኙ ምእመናንና መላው ኢትዮጵያውያንም በወንድማማችነት መንፈስ ተጋግዛችሁ፣ የተፈናቀሉ ወገኖችን በመደገፍና በጸሎት ከቤተክርስቲያናችን ጎን እንድትሆኑ ጥሪያችንን እናቀርባለን። በመጨረሻም ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ለሰላም፣ ለይቅርታና ለሰው ልጆች ክብር ሁል ጊዜ የምትቆም መሆኑን በመግለጽ ይህንን የኀዘን ሰዓት አምላካችን በምሕረቱ ያሳልፍልን፣ የሞቱትን ነፍሶቻቸውን በመንግሥቱ ይቀበልልን፣ የተጎዱትንም በቸርነቱ ያጽናናልን በማለት አባታዊ የኀዘን መልእክታችንን በእግዚአብሔር ስም እናስተላልፋለን። እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ኢትዮጵያንና ሕዝቦችዋን ይባርክ!! ወስብሐት ለእግዚአብሔር!!!አሜን። አባ ማትያስ ቀዳማዊፓትርያርክ ርእሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ዘኢትዮጵያሊቀ ጳጳስ ዘአኵስም ወዕጨጌ ዘመንበረ ተክለ ሃይማኖትግንቦት 26 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም.አዲስ አበባ፣ ኢትዮጵያ © የብፁዕ ወቅዱስ ፓትርያርክ ልዩ ጽሕፈት ቤት

​To the beloved children of our Church, both congregations and the faithful, residing within the Diocese of Gedeo, Kore, and Burji, as well as those living at home and across the various continents of the world; first and foremost, congratulations on reaching the Fast of the Holy Apostles in peace. ​“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.” (Acts 13:2-3) ​This Fast of the Apostles is one of the seven official (proclaimed/decreed) fasts observed by the Church. The Apostles kept this fast by following the direct example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Gospel witnesses that after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was baptized in the waters of the Jordan by the hand of John, without any delay and before beginning His public ministry, He immediately went into the Wilderness of Quarantania (the Mountain of Temptation) and fasted for forty days and forty nights. Our Lord did not fast because He Himself needed to, but rather to reveal the path of life to us and to teach us that any spiritual ministry and victory is attained through fasting. ​The Holy Apostles, as true followers of Christ, also understood this great mystery (divine truth) which they learned from their Master. When they received the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, they did not immediately rush into preaching to the world. Instead, just like their Lord, they prioritized fasting and prayer before launching the global mission of the Gospel and deploying ministers for the work. As mentioned in our theme verse, before separating Barnabas and Saint Paul for the work of delivering the Gospel to the Gentiles and laying hands to send them off, they anchored their foundation in this spiritual power of fasting and prayer. ​Fasting is our weapon through which we put on heavenly power, subject our fleshly desires to the will of the soul, and overcome satanic temptations. The fact that the Apostles fasted in the early Church when appointing ministers, facing trials, and embarking on new spiritual journeys provides a profound lesson for us today: that we must first present ourselves before God as we walk through any path of our lives. ​Our dear spiritual children; when we look at the challenging times that our country and our Church are facing today, this Fast of the Apostles serves as a great spiritual renewal for us. The Apostles overcame the division, fragmentation, and hatred of their time with the love of the Gospel through the power gained from fasting. During this season, beyond refraining from physical food, we must also guard our hearts from hatred, our tongues from evil, and our feet from the path of destruction. We must practically demonstrate mutual love and Orthodox Christian virtues.​Our beloved faithful, we extend our paternal call to you to further strengthen the values of brotherhood and love that we have held since ancient times, and to pray for the peace of our country through fasting and prayer. ​May the God of our fathers, the Holy Apostles, make this fast one of blessing, peace, and love. በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን። በጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት፣ በሀገር ውስጥና በተለያዩ ክፍላተ ዓለም የምትኖሩ ውድ የቤተክርስቲያናችን ልጆች ምእመናንና ምእመናት፤ በመጀመሪያ ለቅዱሳን ሐዋርያት ጾም በሰላም አደረሳችሁ። «ወእምዝ ጾሙ ወጸለዩ ወወደዩ እደዊሆሙ ዲቤሆሙ ወፈነዎሙ — ከዚህ በኋላ ጾሙ፣ ጸለዩም፣ እጃቸውንም ጫኑባቸው፣ ሰደዷቸውም» (የሐዋ. ሥራ 13፥3) ይህ የሐዋርያት ጾም ቤተክርስቲያን ከምትጾማቸው ሰባቱ አዋጅ ጾሞች መካከል አንዱ ነው። ሐዋርያት ይህንን ጾም የጾሙት ከራሱ ከጌታችንና ከመድኃኒታችን ከኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አርአያነት ነው። ጌታችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በማየ ዮርዳኖስ በእደ ዮሐንስ ከተጠመቀ በኋላ ሳይውል፣ ሳያድርና ሕዝባዊ አገልግሎቱን ሳይጀምር ወዲያውኑ ወደ ገዳመ ቆሮንቶስ በመሄድ ፵ መዓልትና ፵ ሌሊት መጾሙን ቅዱስ ወንጌል ይመሰክራል። ጌታችን የጾመው እርሱ ጾም አስፈልጎት ሳይሆን ለእኛ የሕይወትን መንገድ ሊያሳየንና ማንኛውም መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎትና ድል የሚገኘው በጾም መሆኑን ሊያስተምረን ነው። ቅዱሳን ሐዋርያትም የክርስቶስ ተከታዮች እንደመሆናቸው ከመምህራቸው የተማሩትና የተረዱት ይህንን ታላቅ ምስጢር ነበር። በጰንጤቆስጤ ዕለት መንፈስ ቅዱስን በተቀበሉ ጊዜ ወዲያውኑ ወደ ዓለም ስብከት አልተጣደፉም። ይልቁኑ ልክ እንደ ጌታቸው የዓለምን የወንጌል ተልዕኮ ከመጀመራቸውና አገልጋዮችን ለሥራ ከመሰማራታቸው በፊት ጾምንና ጸሎትን አስቀደሙ። በርእሳችን ላይ እንደጠቀስነው ወንጌልን ለአሕዛብ ለማድረስ በርናባስንና ሳውልን ለሥራ ከመለየታቸውና እጃቸውን ጭነው ከመስደዳቸው በፊት መሠረታቸውን ያጸኑት በዚህ በጾምና በጸሎት መንፈሳዊ ኃይል ነበር። ጾም ማለት ሰማያዊውን ኃይል የምንለብስበት፣ ፈቃደ ሥጋችንን ለፈቃደ ነፍስ የምናስገዛበትና ሰይጣናዊ ፈተናዎችን የምናሸንፍበት መሣሪያችን ነው። ሐዋርያት በጥንቷ ቤተክርስቲያን አገልጋዮችን ሲሾሙ ፈተናዎችን ሲጋፈጡና አዳዲስ መንፈሳዊ ጉዞዎችን ሲጀምሩ ይዞሙ እንደነበር እኛም ዛሬ በማንኛውም የሕይወት ጎዳናችን ውስጥ ስንጓዝ አስቀድመን በእግዚአብሔር ፊት መቅረብ እንዳለብን ትልቅ ትምህርት የሚሰጥ ነው። ውድ የመንፈስ ቅዱስ ልጆቻችን፤ ዛሬ ሀገራችንም ሆነች ቤተክርስቲያናችን የምትገኝበትን ፈታኝ ወቅት ስንመለከት ይህ የሐዋርያት ጾም ለእኛ ትልቅ የመንፈስ መታደሻ ነው። ሐዋርያት በዘመናቸው የነበረውን ልዩነት፣ መከፋፈልና ጥላቻ በወንጌል ፍቅር ያሸነፉት በጾም በተገኘ ኃይል ነው። እኛም በዚህ ወቅት ከምግብ ከመከልከል ባለፈ ልባችንን ከጥላቻ፣ አንደበታችንን ከክፉ ነገር፣ እግራችንንም ከጥፋት መንገድ ልንጠብቅ ይገባል። እርስ በእርስ መዋደድንና ኦርቶዶክሳዊ ሥነ ምግባርን በተግባር ልናሳይ ይገባል። ውድ ምዕመናን ከጥንት ጀምሮ የነበረንን የወንድማማችነትና የፍቅር እሴት ይበልጥ እንድታጠናክር፣ በጾምና በጸሎት ሆነን ለሀገራችን ሰላም እንድንለምን አባታዊ ጥሪያችንን እናስተላልፋለን። የአባቶቻችን የቅዱሳን ሐዋርያት አምላክ ጾሙን የበረከት፣ የሰላምና የፍቅር ያድርግልን። የቅዱሳን ሐዋርያት አማላጅነታቸውና ጸሎታቸው ከሁላችን ጋር ይሁን! እግዚአብሔር ሀገራችንን ይባርክ! አባ ገሪማየጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል

Ektus, May 30, 2026 (Genbot 22, 2018 EC) His Eminence Abune Gerima, Bishop of the Gedeo, Kore, and Burji Diocese and member of the Holy Synod, visited Dilla Debre Genet St. Michael Church to assess various ongoing development projects within the parish (debr). This visit is part of the regular monitoring routine conducted to closely follow up on the development activities of local churches under the diocese. The development works being carried out at the local church are aligned with a pre-designed strategic plan. Specifically, they were initiated to implement the directive previously issued by His Eminence, which states, “No plot of land should remain uncultivated” (*”አንድም መሬት ጾም ማደር የለበትም”*). This directive aims to properly develop church holdings and open lands to boost institutional revenue. Accordingly, His Eminence toured the cultivation of perennial crops thriving on the church grounds, such as coffee and enset ( false banana), alongside seasonal crops  including lettuce, beans, corn, beetroot, green beans, cabbage, spinach, carrots, and green chilies, as well as an organized poultry farming project. Furthermore, he inspected the ongoing water development works and the construction progress of the episcopate building (menbere pepesena genbata) being built on-site by the diocese. His Eminence expressed his satisfaction with the development projects achieved in a short period and extended his appreciation to all stakeholders at the parish who contributed to the success of the work. The visit and evaluation session were attended by Melake Hiwot Berhanu Kifle, General Manager of the Diocese and Administrator of the Parish, along with members of the parish administrative council and development committees, who provided detailed briefings regarding the performance of the projects and future plans. Following the briefings and the tour, His Eminence held a discussion with stakeholders and provided directives on further strengthening the institutional capacity of the church. In particular, to improve future land utilization and maintain service quality, he outlined directions regarding the necessary upcoming tasks and the structured system that needs to be established for cemetery management (yemekabr bota atekakem). Finally, His Eminence urged that the initiated development projects be completed within their designated timeframe and quality standards by establishing a rigorous monitoring and evaluation system, concluding the program with a closing prayer.

ኤክቱስ ግንቦት 22/2018 ዓ.ም ብፁዕ አቡነ ገሪማ የጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል በዲላ ደብረ ገነት ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን በመገኘት በደብሩ እየተከናወኑ ያሉ ልዩ ልዩ የልማት ሥራዎችን ተመልክተዋል። ይህ ጉብኝት በሀገረ ስብከቱ ሥር የሚገኙ አጥቢያዎችን የልማት እንቅስቃሴዎችን በቅርበት ለመከታተል ከሚደረጉ መደበኛ የሥራ ጉብኝቶች አንዱ አካል ነው። በአጥቢያው እየተከናወኑ ያሉ የልማት ሥራዎች በሙሉ አስቀድሞ በተቀረጸው ስትራቴጂካዊ ዕቅድ መሠረት እየተመሩ ያሉ ሲሆን በተለይም ብፁዕነታቸው ከዚህ በፊት “አንድም መሬት ጾም ማደር የለበትም” በሚል ያስተላለፉትን መመሪያ ተፈጻሚ ለማድረግ የተጀመሩ መሆናቸው ተገልጿል። ይህ መመሪያ የቤተ ክርስቲያንን ይዞታዎችና ክፍት መሬቶች በተገቢው መንገድ በማልማት ተቋማዊ የገቢ አቅምን ለማሳደግ ታስቦ የወጣ መሆኑም ተመልክቷል። በዚሁ መሠረት ብፁዕነታቸው በደብሩ ይዞታ ውስጥ የለሙትን እንደ ቡናና እንሰት ያሉ ቋሚ ተክሎችን ጨምሮ ሰላጣ፣ ባቄላ፣ በቆሎ፣ ቀይ ሥር፣ አደንጓሬ፣ ጥቅል ጎመን፣ ቆስጣ፣ ካሮትና ቃሪያ የመሳሰሉ የጊዜያዊ ሰብሎች ልማትንና የተደራጀውን የዶሮ እርባታ ሥራ ተዘዋውረው ጎበኝተዋል። ከዚህም በተጨማሪ በደብሩ እየተከናወኑ ያሉ የውኃ ልማት ሥራዎችንና በሀገረ ስብከቱ አማካኝነት በቦታው ላይ እየተገነባ የሚገኘውን የመንበረ ጵጵስና ሕንጻ ግንባታ ሂደት ተመልክተዋል። ብፁዕነታቸው በአጭር ጊዜ ውስጥ በተሠሩት በእነዚህ የልማት ሥራዎች መኩራታቸውን የገለጹ ሲሆን በደብሩ ለሚገኙ ለሥራው መሳካት አስተዋጽኦ ላበረከቱ አካላት በሙሉ ምስጋናቸውን ለግሰዋል። በጉብኝት መርሃ-ግብሩ ላይ የሀገረ ስብከቱ ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅና የደብሩ አስተዳዳሪ መልአከ ሕይወት ብርሃኑ ክፍሌ፣ የደብሩ ሰበካ መንፈሳዊ ጉባኤ አስተዳደር አካላት እና የልማት ኮሚቴ አባላት የተገኙ ሲሆን የሥራዎቹን ዝርዝር አፈጻጸምና የወደፊት ዕቅዶችን በተመለከተ ማብራሪያ አቅርበዋል። ብፁዕነታቸው ከቀረበው ማብራሪያና ከጉብኝቱ በኋላ ከባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር ባደረጉት ቆይታ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑን ተቋማዊ አቅም ይበልጥ ማሳደግ በሚቻልባቸው መንገዶች ዙሪያ መመሪያ ሰጥተዋል። በተለይም የወደፊቱን የቦታ አጠቃቀም ሥርዓት ለማስተካከልና የአገልግሎት ጥራትን ለመጠበቅ ይረዳ ዘንድ በደብሩ የመቃብር ቦታ አጠቃቀምን በተመለከተ ወደፊት ሊሠሩ ስለሚገቡ ሥራዎችና መዘርጋት ስላለበት የተደራጀ የአሠራር ሥርዓት አቅጣጫ አስቀምጠዋል። በመጨረሻም ብፁዕነታቸው የተጀመሩ የልማት ሥራዎች በተቀመጠላቸው የጊዜ ሰሌዳና ጥራት እንዲጠናቀቁ የተጠናከረ የክትትልና የቁጥጥር ሥርዓት መዘርጋት እንዳለበት አሳስበው በጸሎት ፈጽመዋል።
