​Ichthus Dilla, February 11, 2026 (Yekatit 4, 2018 EC) ​Following the conclusion of the capacity-building training in the Diocese of Gedeo, Kore, and Burji, a high-level delegation from the Patriarchate General Secretariat, led by His Grace Abune Gerima, Bishop of the Diocese, conducted a field visit to various development projects at the Dilla Debre Selam St. Urael Church. ​During the visit, the delegation toured several integrated initiatives within the church premises, including: ​It was noted that these development projects demonstrate the parish’s commitment to self-sufficiency, enabling it to support its spiritual missions independently while creating job opportunities for the local community. ​The delegation praised the parish for its dual focus on spiritual ministry and socio-economic development, describing it as an exemplary model for other cathedrals and monasteries across various dioceses. Furthermore, they commended the projects’ role in strengthening the Church’s financial capacity and their significant contribution to environmental conservation in the region.

ኤክቱስ የካቲት 3/2018 ዓ.ም ​በጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ሲሰጥ የነበረው የሥልጠና መርሐ ግብር መጠናቀቁን ተከትሎ በብፁዕ አቡነ ገሪማ የሀገረ ስብከቱ ጳጳስ መሪነት የመንበረ ፓትርያርክ ጠቅላይ ቤተ ክህነት ልዑካን በዲላ ደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ ዑራኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሚገኙ ዘርፈ ብዙ የልማት ሥራዎችን ተዘዋውረው ጎብኝተዋል። ​በጉብኝቱ ወቅት ልዑካኑ በደብሩ ቅጥር ግቢ ውስጥ የሚገኙትን የዳቦ ቤት አገልግሎት፣ የቡና ተክል ልማት እንዲሁም የብርቱካን፣ የፓፓያ እና የንብ ማነብ ወዘተ… የግብርና ምርቶችን ተመልክተዋል። እነዚህ የልማት ሥራዎች ደብሩ መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎቱን በራሱ አቅም ለመደገፍና ለአካባቢው ማኅበረሰብም የሥራ ዕድል ለመፍጠር እያደረገ ያለውን ጥረት የሚያሳዩ መሆናቸው ተገልጿል። ​ልዑካኑ ደብሩ ካለው መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት ጎን ለጎን እንዲህ ያሉ የልማት ሥራዎች ላይ መሰማራቱ በሌሎች አህጉረ ስብከት ለሚገኙ አድባራትና ገዳማት አርአያ የሚሆን ተግባር መሆኑን ገልጸዋል። ይህም የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱን የኢኮኖሚ አቅም ከማጠናከር ባሻገር የአካባቢውን የተፈጥሮ ሀብት ለመጠበቅ ያለውን ፋይዳ አድንቀዋል።

​Ichthus February 11, 2026 (Yekatit 4, 2018 EC) ​In accordance with the resolution passed by the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the capacity-building training organized by the Patriarchate General Secretariat in collaboration with the Diocese of Gedeo, Kore, and Burji has been successfully concluded. The program was designed to modernize the Church’s structural operations and empower clergy and staff through professional knowledge. ​During the sessions, Memhir Daniel Seifemichael, a delegate from the Patriarchate General Secretariat, provided detailed briefings on the organization of the Parish Council (Sebeka Gubae), the implementation of the Kale Awadi (the Church’s constitution), performance reporting, social media utilization, and property management. Additionally, Melake Mihret Amha Mekonnen delivered an extensive presentation regarding the Church’s administrative hierarchy and operational procedures. ​The participants engaged in in-depth discussions on these topics, exchanging ideas with the trainers on operational challenges and potential strategic solutions. It was noted that the forum significantly helped bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical field application. ​At the conclusion of the program, a brief position statement was presented, reflecting the readiness of the trainees to implement their new skills. ​The closing ceremony was hosted by Melake Haywet Birhanu Kifle, the Diocesan General Manager. In his fatherly apostolic exhortation, His Grace Abune Gerima, Bishop of the Diocese and member of the Holy Synod, urged the trainees to translate the knowledge gained into action and to fulfill the Church’s mission with integrity. His Grace concluded the program with a prayer and expressed his gratitude to all the faithful who contributed to the success of the training.

ኤክቱስ የካቲት 3/2018 ዓ.ም ​የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ምልዓተ ጉባኤ ውሳኔ መሠረት የመንበረ ፓትርያርክ ጠቅላይ ቤተ ክህነት ከጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጋር በመተባበር ሲሰጥ የነበረው የአቅም ግንባታ ሥልጠና ተጠናቋል። መርሃ ግብሩ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱን መዋቅራዊ አሠራር ለማዘመንና አገልጋዮችን በዕውቀት ለማነጽ ታቅዶ የተከናወነ ነው። ​በሥልጠናው ወቅት ከመንበረ ፓትርያርክ ጠቅላይ ቤተ ክህነት ልዑክ መምህር ዳንኤል ሰይፈ ሚካኤል ስለ ሰበካ መንፈሳዊ ጉባኤ አደረጃጀት፣ ስለ ቃለ ዐዋዲ አፈጻጸም እንዲሁም ስለ ሥራ ክንውንና ሪፖርት አቀራረብ፣ ስለ ማኅበራዊ ሚዲያ አጠቃቀምና ስለንብረት አስተዳደር ዝርዝር ማብራሪያ ሰጥተዋል። መልአከ ምሕረት አምሃ መኳንንት በበኩላቸው ስለ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አስተዳደራዊ መዋቅርና አሠራር ዙሪያ ሰፊ ግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ አቅርበዋል። ​ሠልጣኞቹ በቀረቡት በእነዚህ ርእሰ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ጥልቅ ውይይት ያደረጉ ሲሆን፣ በሥራ ላይ የሚያጋጥሙ ችግሮችንና የመፍትሔ አቅጣጫዎችን በማንሳት ከአሰልጣኞቹ ጋር ሰፊ የሃሳብ ልውውጥ አድርገዋል። ይህ የውይይት መድረክ በንድፈ ሐሳብ የተሰጠው ሥልጠና በተግባር ካለው አሠራር ጋር እንዲዛመድ ትልቅ እገዛ ማድረጉ ተገልጿል። ​በሥልጠናው ማጠቃለያ ላይ የሰልጣኞችን ዝግጁነት የሚያሳይ አጭር የአቋም መግለጫ ቀርቧል። በመጨረሻም በሀገረ ስብከቱ ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅ መልአከ ሕይወት ብርሃኑ ክፍሌ ጋባዥነት ብፁዕ አቡነ ገሪማ የሀገረ ስብከቱ ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል ባስተላለፉት አባታዊ ቃለ ምዕዳን ሠልጣኞች በውይይቱና በሥልጠናው የቀሰሙትን ዕውቀት ወደ ተግባር በመለወጥ የቤተ ክርስቲያንን ተልዕኮ በታማኝነት እንዲወጡ አሳስበዋል። በተጨማሪም ለሥልጠው መሳካት አስተዋጽዖ ላደረጉ የቤተ ክርስቲያን ልጆች ምሥጋናቸውን አቅርበው መርሐ ግብሩን በጸሎት ፈጽመዋል።

​Ektus, February 9, 2026 ​Led by His Grace Abune Gerima, Bishop of the Gedeo, Kore, and Burji Diocese, Muhaze Tibebat Daniel Kibret, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Chairperson of the EBC Board, conducted an extensive visit to various developmental projects within the Diocese. ​The visit commenced at the Andida Residential School of Traditional Ecclesiastical Studies (Abinet School). The delegation observed the teaching-learning process and toured self-sufficiency agricultural initiatives, including a poultry project, as well as classrooms, dining facilities, dormitories, and administrative offices. Subsequently, they visited Enset cultivation and beekeeping projects at Dama Saint George Church, followed by an inspection of the Bishop’s Residence (Menbere Ppisna) building currently under construction within the premises of Dilla Debre Gnet Saint Michael Church. ​The tour concluded with an observation of the water and poultry projects also located at Dilla Debre Gnet Saint Michael Church. At the end of the visit, Muhaze Tibebat Daniel Kibret commended the Church’s multifaceted development efforts aimed at community service and financial self-reliance.

​ኤክቱስ የካቲት 2/2018 ዓ.ም በብፁዕ አቡነ ገሪማ ​የጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል መሪነት፣ የጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር የማኅበራዊ ዘርፍ አማካሪና የኢቢሲ ቦርድ ሰብሳቢ ክቡር ሙሐዘ ጥበባት ዳንኤል ክብረት በሀገረ ስብከቱ የሚከናወኑ ልዩ ልዩ የልማት ሥራዎችን ጎብኝተዋል። ​በመጀመሪያነት የተጎበኘው በአንዲዳ የሚገኘው የአዳሪ የአብነት ትምህርት ቤት ሲሆን፤ የመማር ማስተማር ሂደቱ፣ የአብነት ትምህርት ቤቱ ራሱን ለማስቻል ከሚሠሩ የግብርና ሥራዎች መካከል የዶሮ ፕሮጀክት፣ እንዲሁም የመማርያ፣ የመመገቢያ፣ የማደርያ እና የጽሕፈት ቤት ክፍሎች ተጎብኝተዋል። በመቀጠልም በዳማ ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሚገኘው የእንሰት ልማትና የንብ ማነብ ሥራዎች የተጎበኙ ሲሆን፤ ሀገረ ስብከቱ የሚያስገነባው የመንበረ ጵጵስና ሕንጻ ግንባታም ተመልክተዋል። ​በመጨረሻም በዲላ ደብረ ገነት ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሚሠሩ የውኃ እና የዶሮ ፕሮጀክቶችን የጎበኙ ሲሆን፤ ክቡር ሙሐዘ ጥበባት ዳንኤል ክብረት በጉብኝቱ ማጠቃለያ ላይ ቤተክርስቲያኗ ማኅበረሰቡን ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግና ራሷን ለመቻል እያከናወነች ያለችውን ዘርፈ ብዙ የልማት እንቅስቃሴ አድንቀዋል።

​Ektus, February 9, 2026 ​His Grace Abune Gerima, Bishop of the Gedeo, Kore, and Burji Diocese and member of the Holy Synod, received Muhaze Tibebat Daniel Kibret, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Social Affairs and Chairperson of the EBC Board, at his office. During the visit, His Grace delivered a detailed presentation regarding the historical background and the current developmental activities of the Diocese. ​In his briefing, His Grace explained that the primary focus and goal of the Diocese is to elevate the Holy Church to a better level. Accordingly, he noted that the Church is currently undertaking various development projects that benefit the community. However, His Grace presented the challenges and resource limitations encountered in these developmental works to the Honorable Minister. ​Following the conclusion of this program, a visit was conducted to the development projects being carried out by the Diocese.

ኤክቱስ የካቲት 2/2018 ዓ.ም ብፁዕ አቡነ ገሪማ ​የጌዴኦ ኮሬና ቡርጂ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስና የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባል የጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር የማኅበራዊ ዘርፍ አማካሪና የኢቢሲ ቦርድ ሰብሳቢ ክቡር ሙሐዘ ጥበባት ዳንኤል ክብረትን በጽሕፈት ቤታቸው ተቀብለው አነጋግረዋል። በቆይታቸውም ስለ ሀገረ ስብከቱ ታሪካዊ ዳራና አሁናዊ የልማት እንቅስቃሴ ዝርዝር ገለጻ አቅርበውላቸዋል። ​ብፁዕነታቸው በገለጻቸው ወቅት የሀገረ ስብከቱ ትኩረትና ፍላጎት ቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ወደተሻለ ደረጃ መሆኑን አብራርተዋል። በዚህም መሠረት ቤተክርስቲያኗ ማኅበረሰቡን ተጠቃሚ የሚያደርጉ ልዩ ልዩ የልማት ፕሮጀክቶችን በማከናወን ላይ እንደምትገኝ አስረድተዋል። ​ይሁን እንጂ በእነዚህ የልማት ሥራዎች ላይ የሚታዩ ተግዳሮቶችንና የግብዓት እጥረቶችን ለክቡር ሚኒስትሩ አቅርበዋል።

​The modern poultry farming project at Dilla Debre Genet St. Michael Church, under the Gedeo, Kore, and Burji Diocese and the Dilla and Wanago Woreda Bete-Kihnet, is officially presenting its products to the faithful and the local community. ​In line with the Diocese’s initiative to ensure the Holy Church’s self-sufficiency and to serve the public, this project has been realized through the coordination of Laeke Wongel Yared Ademe in partnership with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
